Description
I guess I like to show how things become almost something else with age, they get dents, bruises, creases and discolourations. But it also makes it so much more interesting and lovely. I guess it's the same with people.

Arie, thanks for the comment on my cat. I came back to this painting, because it feels so powerful to me It's iconic...with many meanings, and emotional shades...that what makes it GREAT ART !

i'll tell ya, if i was to do something so simple and small as far as inches across, i think i would have put more detail in it. much more detail. it's not rocket science! Don
Arie Van der Wijst replied:
Obviously it is like rocket science for you to learn how to make correct sentences Don. Maybe you should put more detail in your respect towards other people?

Arie, thanks for all your comments. After i wrote you,the other day, i started thinking this painting. You painted it so well...and the symbol is so rich in meaning...an outward persona..a barrier..a threshold to a new world .Doors are interesting things to think about !

Realism is kind of "out" these days for many, but I love your work here. When we paint realistically, it doesn't mean that we can't capture the essence. You have certainly done that with wood and metal here. Bravo!
