About Arie Van der Wijst
I love to create and explore. I have been commissioned to do acrylic paintings and drawings of animal portraits, landscapes, birds, pets and many other subjects over the years. My work is in different collections in several states of the U.S. and in several countries in Europe. I've been working a lot on digital paintings with the use of a so called drawing tablet. Basically it's about the same process than traditional painting, but it gives you more freedom in my opinion. And lately I've gone back to one of my old loves, photography. And in this digital era there's so much to explore and learn, one of the things I found out was that I love local wildlife photography, so birds and any animal I can find in nature. Thank you for visiting...

Arie, thanks for your comment. You created a very impressive mandalla with many layers! A fluid design in every sense ! This selling thing is a mystery to me. I' m dumbfounded whenever there's a sale.Lady Luck smiles at me,and then is gone.
Arie Van der Wijst replied:
Lol, that's how it goes, so it seems. Andy Warhol said it already in 1968 "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes." I think he was right. Thanks my friend for your nice comment!
